FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Authorities have identified 34-year-old Misty Lynn as the woman killed in a DUI crash in Fresno County, which also involved two small children.<\/p>\n
Her employer posted a photo on Facebook saying she was on her way to work at the Bella Brooke Cafe on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Investigators say a 41-year-old man was driving a Tesla with two children, both under the age of 5, in the back seat.<\/p>\n
They say he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Lynn on Highway 180 and Old Oak Road near Dunlap.<\/p>\n
The impact sent Lynn’s car 30 feet down the mountainside, where she died.<\/p>\n
The Tesla driver sustained major injuries and was hospitalized.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the children in his car were properly secured in safety seats.<\/p>\n
They were taken to the hospital as a precaution.<\/p>\n
Officers arrested the Tesla driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.<\/p>\n
