CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — The long-awaited lazy river at Wild Water Adventure Park is moving closer to completion.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, the park revealed the attraction’s official name: Lost River Adventure.<\/p>\n
Action News was given a guided tour of the 1,000-foot attraction, which park officials say will feature a jungle theme.<\/p>\n
The experience is designed to immerse visitors in themed sights and sounds as they float along the river.<\/p>\n
Park managers said the project has been years in the making, driven largely by “popular demand” for a lazy river addition.<\/p>\n
General Manager Jimmy Holmes described the work as a major investment for the park.<\/p>\n
“It’s the largest expansion we have done in many, many years… in the future,” Holmes said.<\/p>\n
Construction is ongoing. Park officials say they hope to open Lost River Adventure by Memorial Day weekend.
