{"id":218021,"date":"2026-03-13T11:51:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T11:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/218021\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T11:51:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T11:51:16","slug":"motorcyclist-killed-in-collision-on-balboa-avenue-in-kearny-mesa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/218021\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorcyclist killed in collision on Balboa Avenue in Kearny Mesa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN DIEGO (KGTV) \u2013 A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle on a Kearny Mesa street Thursday morning, San Diego police said.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the collision happened just before 6 a.m. in the 9500 block of Balboa Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, police said: \u201cA 67-year-old male was riding his 2016 Triumph motorcycle westbound on 9500 Balboa Avenue approaching the intersection with Viewridge Ave.<\/p>\n<p>A 42-year-old male was driving his 2025 Chevrolet truck eastbound on Balboa Avenue and was proceeding through the intersection making a left turn onto Northbound Viewridge Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The Chevrolet entered the intersection on the green traffic control signal.
