Nvidia\u2019s (NVDA<\/a>) GTC 2026, the company\u2019s biggest event of the year, kicks off in San Jose, Calif., on Monday with a keynote from CEO Jensen Huang.<\/p>\n

The show starts at 1 p.m. ET, when Huang will take the stage at San Jose\u2019s SAP Center to provide developers, analysts, and the press with updates on what the company is preparing for the year ahead.<\/p>\n

The leather-jacket-clad CEO\u2019s keynotes are usually littered with a litany of product launches and updates, and we\u2019ll likely see the same at this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

Nvidia has been on a dealmaking spree over the past several months, ranging from agreements with chip companies to software firms, and we\u2019re all but guaranteed to learn more about how the AI chip giant is integrating those technologies and capabilities into its own offerings.<\/p>\n

One of Nvidia\u2019s most interesting deals over the past 12 months was its nonexclusive agreement to use chipmaker Groq\u2019s inferencing technologies in December. As part of the move, Nvidia also hired Groq founder Jonathan Ross, president Sunny Madra, and other company leaders.<\/p>\n

Groq designs chips it calls language processing units, or LPUs, that are designed for inferencing, or running, AI models. The company claims its processors can run large language and other AI models up to 10 times more efficiently than GPUs.<\/p>\n

As the industry continues to evolve from primarily training AI models to inferencing, companies are increasingly looking for chips that can power AI software at lower cost. Nvidia has touted its GPUs\u2019 efficiency, but either integrating Groq\u2019s technology into its own processors or revealing a dedicated inference chip could help dispel concerns that customers will opt for more specialized processors rather than Nvidia\u2019s GPUs in the future.<\/p>\n

On a different note, Nvidia could also unveil its long-rumored laptop CPU at GTC. According to The Verge<\/a>, leaks show that the company is preparing to launch two chips, the N1 and N1X, that would power Windows laptops.<\/p>\n

The processors will run on Arm\u2019s architecture, like those from Qualcomm (QCOM<\/a>), but have a gaming-centric bent. Nvidia\u2019s GPUs are some of the most sought-after in the gaming community, and a CPU could be just as popular.<\/p>\n

Nvidia\u2019s chips already power Nintendo\u2019s (NTDOY<\/a>) Switch and Switch 2 consoles, and they\u2019ve been used in other computers before, so a laptop CPU wouldn\u2019t be all that strange. It would also keep Nvidia in gamers\u2019 good graces amid its massive pivot toward the data center.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t expect the chips to generate the kind of massive revenues that Nvidia\u2019s GPUs and networking products do. Sales of the company\u2019s gaming segment totaled $22.5 billion in 2025, while its data center business brought in $193.5 billion.<\/p>\n

Outside of those announcements, you can bet Huang will provide additional details related to the company\u2019s upcoming Vera Rubin AI platform, as well as Vera Ultra, slated for the second half of 2027. He could also offer up more information about Nvidia\u2019s future Feynman GPU, scheduled for 2028.<\/p>\n

On the software side, Nvidia could debut its own platform for AI agents, according to Wired<\/a>. The service, called NemoClaw, would allow companies to deploy agents across their systems.<\/p>\n

Nvidia regularly touts its software chops, showing off its various open-source AI models for everything from simulating real-world physics to helping to develop self-driving vehicle technologies. Diving deeper into the software space with an AI agent service at a time when agents are top of mind across the industry would make total sense.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s bound to be a slew of other software news, and we\u2019ll be on the lookout for announcements related to physical AI and robotics, something Huang says could represent a multitrillion-dollar market opportunity.<\/p>\n
