Los Angeles magazine welcomed a powerhouse group of women leaders, creatives and industry figures on March 13 at The Beverly Hilton for its annual luncheon celebrating the women helping shape Los Angeles today.<\/p>\n

The afternoon gathered voices from entertainment, business, philanthropy and media to honor the women featured in the magazine\u2019s annual The L.A. Woman issue<\/a>, which highlights leaders making an impact across the region.<\/p>\n

The 2026 soiree honored actress and advocate Olivia Munn, the March L.A. Woman cover star<\/a>, whose advocacy around breast cancer awareness and early detection has helped spark national conversations.<\/p>\n

Publisher Chris Gialanella opened the program, while Beverly Hills Mayor Dr. Sharona Nazarian delivered welcoming remarks, via video, to the audience gathered inside the International Ballroom.<\/p>\n

Before the luncheon began, guests moved through pink carpet arrivals and an elevated brand marketplace that transformed The Beverly Hilton garden patio into a lively fashion, beauty and wellness showcase.<\/p>\n

Sponsors including Maison Perrier, HRC Fertility, Mission Craft Cocktails, J Vineyards & Winery, Empress 1908 Gin, Golden Eagle Vodka, Yelp, Artha Wellness Sanctuary and Grand \u00c9clair hosted activations as attendees mingled, enjoyed refreshments and visited the Women of Impact digital studio.<\/p>\n

The event drew a wide-ranging guest list from across entertainment, media, philanthropy and business. Notable attendees included Jennie Garth, Jane Seymour, Eva LaRue, Scheana Shay, Annabeth Gish, Karey Burke, Corinne Foxx, Corinne Verdery, Lisa Vidal, Shani Darden, Aisha Bowe, Yasmine-Imani McMorrin, Cindy Ambuehl, philanthropist Nancy Davis, Patti R\u00f6ckenwagner, Zulay Henao, Diana Madison, Netflix Selling Sunset star Mary Bonnet, designer Tara Rudes Dann of L\u2019Agence, Good Day LA\u2019s Amanda Salas and philanthropist Pia Mehta.<\/p>\n

Additional guests included Gregory and Lawrence Zarian, Derek Warburton, Stuart Brazell, Jazmin Grimaldi, Louise Linton, Gina Vitori, Jess Ritter, Kwame Siegel and Lindsay Feinstein, along with a wide array of industry leaders and media personalities.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the seated portion of the program, two-time Emmy-winning television personality Carly Steel moderated a panel featuring the amazing women spotlighted in this LA Woman issue.<\/p>\n

Panelists included actress and producer Corinne Foxx, who has helped raise awareness around endometriosis, and two-time Academy Award\u2013winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who is currently nominated for her fifth Oscar for Ryan Coogler\u2019s Sinners.<\/p>\n

Olivia Munn Shares Her Story<\/p>\n

The 2026 luncheon honored actress and advocate Olivia Munn, the March L.A. Woman cover star, who was named this year\u2019s Woman of the Year.<\/p>\n

Munn has become a leading voice for breast cancer awareness and early testing following her own diagnosis. She continues her acting career while using her platform to encourage women to take proactive steps with their health. She currently stars in the Apple TV series Your Friends and Neighbors, which premieres its second season in early April.<\/p>\n

As the afternoon\u2019s guest of honor, Munn joined Los Angeles editor-in-chief Jasmin Rosemberg for a keynote Q&A conversation. Actress and podcast host Jessica St. Clair, a longtime friend of Munn, introduced the discussion.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, Munn spoke candidly about her breast cancer journey<\/a> and the moment a lifetime risk assessment changed the course of her health decisions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat test not only saved my life, but also my mother\u2019s,\u201d Munn told the audience.<\/p>\n

She explained that both she and her mother sought additional testing after the results revealed an elevated risk.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on her experience, Munn emphasized the importance of early detection and acting quickly.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor any woman who goes through this or has a loved one who goes through this, being as aggressive as possible is the way out,\u201d she said. \u201cYou have to fight with everything you have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Munn also shared advice she received from the late actress Shannen Doherty, who battled breast cancer for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe said to me, \u2018Just be so aggressive,\u2019\u201d Munn recalled.<\/p>\n

The experience, she said, ultimately shifted her outlook.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t look at cancer like, \u2018I can\u2019t believe I went through this,\u2019\u201d Munn said. \u201cI just think, thank God I\u2019m one of the lucky ones.\u201d<\/p>\n

By the time the luncheon concluded inside the Beverly Hilton\u2019s International Ballroom, the room reflected the spirit of The L.A.
