(KFSN) &#8212; The Trump Administration announced it will provide $540 million in federal funds to benefit the state&#8217;s water infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Congressmen Vince Fong, David Valadao and other state lawmakers worked to secure funding for state water projects, including the Friant-Kern canal and Delta-Mendota canal correction projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The funding will be used to fix aging systems while helping to bolster water supply, delivery, and conservation to aid the Central Valley&#8217;s vast farmland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Congressman Fong released a statement as part of Tuesday&#8217;s announcement, reading in part, &#8220;These are not just upgrades &#8211; they are transformative investments that will modernize how water moves across our state and ensure reliable delivery to communities, businesses and farms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
