(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County District Attorney&#8217;s Office  is seeking an agreement with Bakersfield Recovery Services to provide services for the Family Justice Center.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s according to the Kern County Board of Supervisor&#8217;s March 24, 2026 agenda. It follows the fallout between the District Attorney&#8217;s Office and the Open Door Network.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/kern-county-da-to-not-renew-open-door-network-contract-for-family-justice-centers-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kern County DA to not renew Open Door Network contract for Family Justice Centers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In November, the DA\u2019s office issued a non-renewal letter to the Open Door Network. The letter indicated an effective date of April 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed agreement with Bakersfield Recovery Services would run from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2028.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldrecoveryservices.com\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bakersfield Recovery Services website<\/a>, the organization offers a &#8220;range of services, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Men\u2019s Recovery, Women\u2019s Recovery, and Perinatal Services.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
