The city of Sacramento confirmed on Friday that the city manager directed maintenance staff to cover the head of the Ch\u00e1vez statue at C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez Plaza following sexual abuse allegations against Ch\u00e1vez. As of Thursday night, a piece of fabric was seen covering the top of the statue. \u201cIt is important that our City provides space for individuals who may have been victimized,\u201d spokesperson Gabby Miller said. \u201cThe City remains committed to an open and transparent process that reflects community values and established policy.
