\nAKRON, Ohio \u2013 The University of Akron lacrosse team saw its fourth-quarter rally come up a goal short in a 14-13 setback to San Diego State on Sunday (March 22) at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Health Field.
\n\u00a0
\nHOW IT HAPPENED:
\n\u2022 Junior Sienna Hinchcliffe<\/a> (Rochester, N.Y.) tallied a team-high four goals on the afternoon, while also adding an assist.
\n\u2022 Netting three, two and two goals, respectively, for Akron were seniors Heather Carey<\/a> (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Katie Baumer<\/a> (Rochester, N.Y.) along with junior Kaitlyn Sikorski<\/a> (Plymouth, Minn.).
\n\u2022 Senior Kellen Fletcher<\/a> (Valencia, Pa.) and freshman Savannah Hinchcliffe<\/a> (Rochester, N.Y.) rounded out Akron’s scoring efforts with a goal each.
\n\u2022 Fletcher and Baumer paced the Zips with three and two assists, respectively, while recording one assist apiece was Carey, Hinchcliffe and Sikorski.
\n\u2022 Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Adrianna Califano<\/a>\u00a0(Bellmore, N.Y.) pulled in six saves in the match.
\n\u2022 Carey recorded a game-best four ground balls, while Hinchcliffe pulled in team-best six draw controls.
\n\u2022 Junior Kacey Hopkins<\/a> (Riva, Md.) tallied a team-high two caused turnovers.
\n\u2022 Recording a game-high 11 shots, including seven on goal was Hinchcliffe.<\/p>\n
