(File photo courtesy of the department)<\/p>\n<p>Investigators on Friday sought a motorist involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured in El Cajon.<\/p>\n<p>The westbound sedan struck a 63-year-old woman at Main and Orlando streets at about 10 p.m. Thursday, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elcajon.gov\/your-government\/departments\/police\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">El Cajon Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the crash, the motorist continued driving and left the area, Lt. Joe Crawford said. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for treatment of severe injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators were able to identify the involved vehicle as a Hyundai Sonata, then located it abandoned near the site of the accident.
