Overview<\/p>\n

The Tenderloin has been San Francisco\u2019s vice district, a refuge for the country\u2019s young LGBTQ youth, a landing point for immigrants, and has fiercely upheld protections that allow low-income residents to keep living in this gentrifying city.<\/p>\n

This small urban enclave tucked between Union Square and City Hall is often the talk of the town \u2014 and the country. The Tenderloin is home to the highest concentration of children in San Francisco, its restaurants serve an impressive range of cuisines, and many of the city\u2019s most successful social services originate here.<\/p>\n
