FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 The Fresno Police Department announced the results of a street racing crackdown in Fresno.<\/p>\n
The operation took place on Sunday with Motor Units monitoring city-wide for illegal street racing and sideshows.<\/p>\n
The department said there were some car meet-ups that were civil and did not cross the line.<\/p>\n
The few drivers who chose to leave the meet-ups recklessly were stopped by the waiting officers.<\/p>\n
The department released the following results of the Street Racing and Sideshow Enforcement:<\/p>\n
48 Citations (That\u2019s a lot of paperwork)10 Towed Cars (Hope you like walking)4 DUI Arrests (Don\u2019t. Just don\u2019t.)<\/p>\n
Police remind you that if you race, sideshow, spin donuts, film donuts, cheer on donuts, or otherwise contribute to donutrelated chaos, your car may be impounded for 30 days.<\/p>\n
Fresno is NOT the place for illegal street stunts.<\/p>\n
