Sacramento County sheriff\u2019s homicide detectives were investigating the deaths of two people who were shot Tuesday at a mobile home park in Orangevale.<\/p>\n
The shooting was reported about noon Tuesday at the Sunshine Mobile Village in the 6100 block of Main Avenue near Greenback Lane.<\/p>\n
Sgt. Ed Igoe, a Sheriff\u2019s Office spokesperson, said numerous people called authorities to report one person had been shot. It was later reported that another person had been shot.<\/p>\n
As deputies arrived at the mobile home park, callers reported that the suspect in the shooting lived in the mobile home park and had returned to his trailer, Igoe said.<\/p>\n
Deputies approached the trailer and tried to find the shooting victims. An armored vehicle from the Folsom Police Department arrived at the mobile home park and approached the trailer.<\/p>\n
Deputies and Folsom police officers, using the armored vehicle as cover, pulled out the two shooting victims.<\/p>\n
Igoe said one of the victims, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, a man, was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died.<\/p>\n
Authorities took the suspect, a man, into custody without further incident, Igoe said. Homicide detectives took over the investigation and remained at the mobile home park, along with sheriff\u2019s crime scene investigators.<\/p>\n
Authorities did not release additional details about the victims, the suspect or a possible motive.<\/p>\n
