{"id":236769,"date":"2026-03-26T01:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T01:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/236769\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T01:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T01:26:09","slug":"wired-wednesday-why-is-fresno-county-suing-itself","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/236769\/","title":{"rendered":"Wired Wednesday: Why Is Fresno County Suing Itself?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GV Wire\u2019s Edward Smith talks with KMPH Fox 26 \u201cGreat Day\u201d anchor Liz Gonzalez about a <a href=\"https:\/\/gvwire.com\/2026\/03\/23\/fresno-county-supes-threaten-to-sue-recorder-dictos-over-real-estate-fees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">possible lawsuit<\/a> by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors against Fresno County Assessor\/Recorder Paul Dictos over real estate transaction fees.<\/p>\n<p>Dictos told GV Wire he stands by his interpretation of SB 2, which governs the fees, and welcomes the matter going to court.<\/p>\n<p>Though the county is suing Dictos in his official capacity, a spokesperson said the county is not responsible for his legal fees.
