Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot to death in Long Beach.<\/p>\n
On Oct. 23, police responded to a shooting near the 5300 block of Cherry Avenue at around 9:45 p.m.<\/p>\n
Officers found the victim, identified only as an adult male, with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Paramedics transported him to the hospital where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
The shooter had fled the scene before police arrived.<\/p>\n
Further details, including a possible motive or the circumstances leading up to the deadly shooting, were not released. No suspect description was provided as the incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the L.A. County Department of the Medical Examiner.<\/p>\n
