An on-duty police officer was involved in a three-vehicle crash in southeast Fresno on Thursday, causing a brief disruption in traffic.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at 11:41 a.m. at Maple Avenue and Cesar Chavez Boulevard as an officer was responding to a Code 3 call with lights and sirens activated, police said.<\/p>\n
While proceeding through the intersection, the patrol vehicle was clearing traffic when another car collided with the front end of the unit.<\/p>\n
The vehicle that struck the patrol car went on to collide with a second vehicle in the intersection.<\/p>\n
Despite the chain-reaction crash, no injuries were reported among those involved.<\/p>\n
Officials remained at the scene to investigate and manage traffic in the area.<\/p>\n
