Top spots for fans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s the most exciting time of the year for college basketball fans: <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncaa.com\/march-madness-live\/bracket\">March Madness<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, California is home to the No. 1 city in the nation for college ball, according to WalletHub.<\/p>\n<p>The personal finance company recently went in search of the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/edu\/best-cities-for-college-basketball\/32944\">best<\/a> \u2014 and worst \u2014 cities for <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/edu\/best-cities-for-college-basketball\/32944\">college basketball fans<\/a> in 2026, based on team win records, stadium capacity and other factors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best cities for college basketball have high-performing teams, affordable and accessible games and strong fan engagement,\u201d WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo said in a March 4 article.<\/p>\n<p>How did your city fare? Emilee Chinn                                                                            Getty Images\/TNS                                                                                        What makes Los Angeles the No. 1 for college basketball?<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverlosangeles.com\/\">Los Angeles<\/a> took first on WalletHub\u2019s 2026 list of the top spots for college basketball lovers in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Angels has four different NCAA Division 1 teams, including the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/uclabruins.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\">UCLA Bruins<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/usctrojans.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\">USC Trojans<\/a>. California State University, Northridge, and Loyola Marymount University also call the Los Angeles area home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese teams stand out even in a city that\u2019s already known for its professional-level basketball,\u201d WalletHub managing editor John S.
