A San Rafael man and another from Richmond were arrested on suspicion of murder early Saturday, hours after police said they shot and killed a man in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched to Third and Harrison streets at 11:12 p.m. Friday and found a man wounded by gunfire, according to a San Francisco Police Department news release. The officers tried to help the victim, who later died at a hospital.<\/p>\n
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name or other information on him.<\/p>\n
Two other people were assaulted during the incident and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives took over the investigation and arrested Edwin Depaz Maldonado, 19, of Richmond and Andy Segura Giron, 20, of San Rafael.<\/p>\n
Maldonado was booked on suspicion of murder and resisting arrest, and Giron on suspicion of assault likely to produce great bodily injury. Both men are being held without bail.<\/p>\n
