STANFORD, Calif. — The San Diego State men\u2019s golf team finished in 13th out of 30 teams at The Goodwin, which wrapped up Saturday on the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course.<\/p>\n

The Aztecs, who are 33rd in the latest Scoreboard powered by clipped computer rankings, carded a 5-over 285 in Saturday\u2019s final rund and finished at 9-over 849 for the tournament. Tournament host and No. 23 Stanford won the event at -17, while No. 35 UCLA (-13), No. 21 New Mexico (-10), No. 24 Brigham Young (-9) and No. 31 Long Beach State (-5) rounded out the top 5.<\/p>\n

Sophomore Harry Takis<\/a> (Brisbane, Australia), the No. 4-ranked player in the latest computer ratings, led the way for SDSU, tying for 13th at 4-under 206. Takis shot a 1-under 69 in today\u2019s final round, posting four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey on the par-5, 505-yard 16th hole.<\/p>\n

Freshman Beau Sahr<\/a> (Eagle, Idaho), meanwhile, tied for 29th at even par following a 1-under 69 on Saturday. Sahr had four birdies and three bogeys.<\/p>\n

Sophomore Kai Hirayama<\/a> (Arcadia, Calif.) shot his second straight 1-over 71 to finish in a tie for 89th at +8. Hirayama eagled the par-5, 538-yard seventh hole, and also had three birdies and six bogeys.<\/p>\n

Senior Chanachon Chokprajakchat<\/a> (Bangkok, Thailand) finished in a tie for 113th at +11 after a 76 in today\u2019s final round, while junior Nathan Sampson<\/a> (Temecula, Calif.) tied for 127th at +14 with a matching 76.<\/p>\n

New Mexico\u2019s Mesa Falleur earned medalist honors at -12, a shot clear of Brigham Young\u2019s Kihei Akina (-11).<\/p>\n

Next up for the Aztecs will be the Western Intercollegiate, April 13-15, at Pasataiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, California.<\/p>\n
