FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A man has been arrested for violating his restraining order and driving into a house in Northwest Fresno on Sunday morning, police say.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the home near Corona and San Jose avenues, the suspect got into his vehicle and drove into the house.<\/p>\n

Officers were able to get the people inside the house out safely.<\/p>\n

As officers tried to negotiate with the suspect, he took out a knife and made comments suggesting he wanted officers to kill him.<\/p>\n

Negotiations lasted two hours and eventually, officers were able to arrest the suspect.<\/p>\n

As they were taking him into custody, the suspect attempted to stab himself, giving himself minor wounds.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. Once released, he will be booked for multiple felony and domestic violence-related charges.<\/p>\n
