FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 A man was arrested for violating a restraining order and crashing a van into the home on Sunday, police say.<\/p>\n
Police responded to a call of a restraining order violation at a home in the area of Corona and San Jose Avenue, a bit before 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, the man got into a car and crashed it into the home while people were still inside.<\/p>\n
Police say the man then armed himself with a knife and was making threats that could hurt him.<\/p>\n
Negotiations with the police lasted about two hours before he surrendered.<\/p>\n
However, as police officers tried to take him into custody, he wounded himself with the knife.<\/p>\n
He was taken to CRMC for his injuries.<\/p>\n
There were no reports of anyone else being injured.<\/p>\n
Police say the man was arrested for charges of felony vandalism and domestic violence. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
