Two people were found dead on the second floor of a burning home in San Marcos as firefighters worked to extinguish the fire late Saturday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Deputies arrived a few minutes after an 11:45 p.m. call to find a structure on\u00a0Lacebark Street near Borden Road fully engulfed in flames, sheriff\u2019s officials said.<\/p>\n
After San Marcos firefighters discovered the bodies, fire department officials requested the sheriff\u2019s bomb\/arson unit investigate the cause and origin of the fire. Sheriff\u2019s homicide detectives are also investigating.<\/p>\n
The Medical Examiner\u2019s Office will try to determine the identity of the individuals, along with the cause and manner of death. No other information was released.<\/p>\n
