<\/p>\n
A suspected DUI crash claimed a man\u2019s life on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash at 5:10 p.m. at Kearney Ave., west of Dickenson Ave.<\/p>\n
CHP said a Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on Kearney at a high rate of speed veered south and left the road.<\/p>\n
The front-right of the vehicle crashed into a palm tree on the south shoulder.<\/p>\n
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
CHP said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n
Authorities are investigating the collision.<\/p>\n
