An emergency alert has been issued for a woman who disappeared last week in the Bay Area while she was out walking her dog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oakland authorities are seeking the public\u2019s help<\/a> in locating\u00a0Amy Hillyard, 52, the owner of the well-known Farley\u2019s coffee shops, who has been reported missing since Wednesday and is considered at-risk<\/a> due to medical conditions.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Sunday, March 29, the California Highway Patrol issued the emergency alert, asking for assistance in locating Hillyard, SFGate reported<\/a>. The Downtown Oakland Association also confirmed that Hillyard is the owner of the beloved Farley\u2019s coffee shops, highlighting the concern in the local community.<\/p>\n

Hillyard was last seen\u00a0Wednesday, March 25, around 2:00 p.m., in the 500 block of Radnor Road, near Cleveland Street in Oakland\u2019s Cleveland Heights neighborhood, south of Lake Merritt. <\/p>\n

Witnesses report she was on foot at the time, wearing a\u00a0tan top and tan pants.<\/p>\n

A neighbor told\u00a0KTVU<\/a>\u00a0they saw her walking her dog shortly before she disappeared.<\/p>\n

Hillyard\u2019s husband said she left her cellphone at home.<\/p>\n

Hillyard was last seen around 2:00 p.m. on March 25 in the 500 block of Radnor Rd wearing a tan top and tan pants. Oakland Police Department<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Oakland Police Department\u00a0described Hillyard as\u00a0white, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.<\/p>\n

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Oakland Police Department\u2019s\u00a0Missing Person Unit at 510-238-3641.<\/p>\n

Hillyard\u2019s disappearance has prompted an outpouring of concern from residents and local business owners. <\/p>\n

Hundreds gathered on the east side of Oakland\u2019s Lake Merritt<\/a> Sunday night for candlelight vigil.<\/p>\n
