<\/a>Oscar Martinez, 35, was fatally struck by a train Friday morning near Highway 58 in Bakersfield.<\/p>\n\nThe crash occurred around 7 a.m.<\/p>\n
\nMartinez was struck on the railroad tracks south of Highway 58, west of Weedpatch Highway. The Bakersfield resident was transported to Kern Medical, where he succumbed to his injuries hours later, officials said.<\/p>\n
