FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 The Fresno Superior Court is temporarily closing operations to consolidate cases, and all essential hearings will be heard only in the Main Courthouse and the Juvenile Justice Courthouse.<\/p>\n
The decision comes after the completion of the required 60-day public comment period.<\/p>\n
The court also said all clerk\u2019s offices will remain closed that day, except for the clerk\u2019s office at the Juvenile Justice Courthouse and the criminal and dependency offices at the Main Courthouse.<\/p>\n

The court said the changes are part of strategic planning for operational efficiency during the transition of case management systems.<\/p>\n
The closure is intended to allow the court to test newly implemented case management systems to ensure data is converted properly, filings in work queues have been processed, and the new system is functioning properly and efficiently before all clerk\u2019s offices reopen to the public.<\/p>\n
The court said the one-day closure will allow additional staff to be used to troubleshoot and correct potential issues with the conversion. <\/p>\n
It also said that temporarily relocating departments from the \u201cM\u201d Street and B. F. Sisk courthouses to the Main Courthouse and the Juvenile Justice Courthouse on that date will provide an opportunity to better utilize staff resources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
