A man died Saturday in a vehicle collision in the Oakland hills, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The single-car crash occurred around 11:18 p.m. on the 4100 block of Redwood Road, according to the Oakland Police Department.<\/p>\n
Initial reports indicate that the man was the only occupant of a Porsche and crashed into a light pole, authorities said. There were no known witnesses to the collision.<\/p>\n
The victim was later identified by the Alameda County coroner\u2019s office as Bobby Lu, 41, of Oakland. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The incident remains under investigation. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.<\/p>\n
