FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno police on Tuesday asked for the public’s help locating two suspects wanted in separate murder investigations, as Valley Crime Stoppers increased the reward for tips leading to arrests to $3,000 in each case.<\/p>\n
The first killing happened on March 15 at the Colonia Del Sol apartment complex near Blackstone and Barstow avenues.<\/p>\n
Police have identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jamie Martinez, who is wanted in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Shannon Ivory.<\/p>\n
Detectives said Ivory was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.<\/p>\n
He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n
Police believe a roommate disturbance led to the shooting.<\/p>\n
Martinez has a warrant for murder and is considered armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n
In a second case, detectives are searching for 40-year-old Michael Dorsey, who police say shot and killed 38-year-old Perry Paul Espinosa after a fight.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. on East Samson Avenue between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Clara Avenue.<\/p>\n
Dorsey is also considered armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n
“These are close together; we recognize the immediate need to take these armed and dangerous individuals off the street. We have had difficulty locating them, so we wanted to increase that incentive for people to call in and provide us that information,” said Brian Valles of the Fresno Police Department.<\/p>\n
Police said the firearms used in both murders have not been located.<\/p>\n
Both suspects have prior criminal history, including prior misdemeanors. Dorsey also has a history of domestic violence charges.<\/p>\n
Authorities said they have had difficulty locating the suspects and are again asking for the public’s help.<\/p>\n
Both men are believed to still be in Fresno.<\/p>\n
