President Trump took aim at insurance giant State Farm and other providers by accusing them of abandoning Southern Californians devastated by last year\u2019s wildfires<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a scathing Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump singled out State Farm, calling the company and others like it \u201chorrendous\u201d for failing homeowners who had faithfully paid premiums for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have been paying them large premiums for years, only to find that when tragedy struck, these horrendous companies were not there to help!\u201d the president wrote.<\/p>\n

Trump said he has tasked Environmental Protection Agency Administrator<\/a> Lee Zeldin with producing a report that lists which companies acted \u201cswiftly, courageously, and bravely\u201d to honor their legal obligations, and which ones fell short.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe names of some surprise me, but in the world in which we live, nothing really surprises me!\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Trump added that the government was \u201clooking into this matter as we speak.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cState Farm, and others, should get their act together, and treat people fairly,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

For wildfire survivors still scrambling to rebuild, the president\u2019s post signals that federal attention may finally bring accountability to insurers Getty Images<\/p>\n

The Post contacted State Farm for comment.<\/p>\n

His post comes amid his ongoing feud with California state leadership, particularly Gov. Gavin Newsom<\/a>, whom he has repeatedly blamed for the fires\u2019 destructive impact.<\/p>\n

In January, Trump issued an executive order aimed at fast-tracking LA\u2019s rebuilding a year after\u00a0the wildfires.<\/p>\n

Trump pointed the finger at Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass for the slow rebuilding of homes ravaged by the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires, two of the most destructive in city history.<\/p>\n
