Easter doesn\u2019t prompt widespread closures like Thanksgiving or Christmas, but some businesses will lock their doors for the holiday that always falls on a Sunday.\u200b<\/p>\n

A WalletHub study ranked Sacramento in the Top 20 cities in the United States for celebrating Easter<\/a>. The city came in at no. 14, ranking especially highly for Easter traditions and Easter weather.<\/p>\n

Metrics used in the rankings ranged from candy and chocolate stores per capita to the city\u2019s Christian population, WalletHub said.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what\u2019s open and closed on Sunday\u200b this Easter across the Capital region, although not all stores list specific holiday hours for Easter; it\u2019s best to call before heading over.:<\/p>\n

Whole Foods:<\/a> 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4315 Arden Way in Arden Arcade. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Grocery Outlet:<\/a> 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 1700 Capitol Ave. in Sacramento. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Sprouts:<\/a> 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at all stores.<\/p>\n

Save Mart:<\/a> 6 a.m. to midnight at 5600 Folsom Blvd. in East Sacramento. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Raley\u2019s\/Bel Air:<\/a> 6 a.m. to midnight at 2075 Fair Oaks Blvd. in Sacramento. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Safeway:<\/a> 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. at 1814 19th St. in Sacramento. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Smart and Final:<\/a> 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 2431 28th St. in Sacramento. Check other locations for holiday hours.<\/p>\n

Pucci\u2019s Pharmacy<\/a> at 3257 Folsom Blvd. in East Sacramento is closed on Sundays, according to its website.<\/p>\n

What shopping malls are open?<\/p>\n

Individual store and restaurant hours may vary, however.<\/p>\n

Westfield Galleria at Roseville:<\/a> 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Sunrise Mall:<\/a> 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Downtown Commons:<\/a> 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Arden Fair Mall is closed for Easter.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s closed in the Sacramento area on Easter?<\/p>\n

Make your Costco run soon because the bulk warehouse and its gas stations will be closed on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Government offices are typically closed on Sundays. This includes courthouses and the U.S. Postal Service. Banks are also closed.<\/p>\n

Sacramento County public libraries will be closed on Sunday. Package delivery services UPS and FedEx will close in observance of Easter. There is no scheduled trash pickup on Sundays.<\/p>\n
