(FOX40.COM) \u2014 A man is in custody Wednesday morning after barricading himself inside a South Sacramento home overnight, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
SCSO said deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic violence incident around 10:45 p.m. at the 8100 Block of Lemon Cove Court.<\/p>\n
The victim reported that her boyfriend, who is also the father of her child, pointed a gun at her and physically assaulted her, SCSO said. She informed deputies that there were guns in the home and the suspect has a history of gun-related arrests.<\/p>\n
The woman was able to leave the residence. Deputies arrived and set up a perimeter before calling those in the home to exit.<\/p>\n
According to SCSO, the suspect and two of his relatives refused to exit the home, resulting in an over six-hour standoff.<\/p>\n
Sheriff\u2019s Office Negotiators, a SWAT team, armored vehicles and drones were used in an attempt to draw all three people outside the home.<\/p>\n
Around 4:30 a.m., all three people exited the home and the suspect was taken into custody, SCSO said.<\/p>\n
Deputies confirm that the two other people in the home were not being held hostage and no one was injured.<\/p>\n
Multiple roads were closed but have since reopened.<\/p>\n
