(KFSN) &#8212; The race for Governor of California kicks into overdrive Wednesday with two candidate forums taking place in Fresno.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Western Growers Association and 30 farm groups are hosting the first forum at Fresno State.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The candidates participating are Republicans Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco and four Democrats: Xavier Becerra, Katie Porter, Matt Mahan and Antonio Villaraigosa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The moderators for the debate are former North Valley Assemblymember Kristin Olsen-Cate and Fresno County Supervisor Buddy Mendes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The forum will focus on &#8220;Affordability and Rural California.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Mendes is also a farmer in Riverdale, and he wants the candidates to get specific on ag issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The second gubernatorial forum will take place Wednesday night at Fresno City College.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">The debate will focus on issues ranging from job creation, immigration and agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
