Long Beach Poly<\/a>‘s game on Friday was a loss, but they didn’t let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Compton Tarbabes<\/a> get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Jackrabbits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.<\/p>\n

Long Beach Poly got a great performance from Damian Marquez<\/a> as he didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Marquez a new career-high.<\/p>\n

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Freddie Parish V<\/a>, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tate Hammond<\/a>, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run.<\/p>\n

Long Beach Poly always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That’s the best OBP they’ve posted all season.<\/p>\n

The Bruins’ pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Jackrabbits’ hitters will have their work cut out for them.
