The fixture will be played at Heart Health Park in Sacramento, California. Fans can watch the game live on CBS Sports Golazo Network and Paramount+. This fixture marks the first time the two sides have ever played against each other.<\/p>\n
In addition to learning its Round of 32 opponent during Thursday morning\u2019s draw, Minnesota received the\u00a0No. 2\u00a0hosting priority position in their group draw for the Round of 16 match behind No. 1 hosting priority, San Jose Earthquakes (MLS).\u00a0This means that the Loons will host their Round of 16 match only if they advance past Sacramento Republic\u00a0and\u00a0San Jose Earthquakes loses their Round of 32 fixture.<\/p>\n
Ticket information for the possible Round of 16 contest at Allianz Field will be provided at a later date, with MNUFC Season Ticket Members again receiving an opportunity to opt into a discounted ticket package for all potential U.S. Open Cup games played at Allianz Field. Single-game tickets for the potential games would go on sale shortly after advancing.<\/p>\n
Minnesota United\u2019s First Team returns to the U.S. Open Cup following a deep run in the 2025 tournament. Last year, the Loons defeated Louisville City FC (USL Championship) in the Round of 32, then went on to advance past MLS sides St. Louis CITY SC in the Round of 16 and Chicago Fire FC in the Quarterfinals before ultimately falling to Austin FC in the closely-contested Semifinal match at Allianz Field.<\/p>\n
