An attic fire next to a 7-Eleven prompted a two-alarm response Thursday afternoon in Fresno.<\/p>\n

Crews with the Fresno Fire Department responded to the blaze just after 2 p.m. to the corner of Ashlan and Blackstone avenues.<\/p>\n

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a building connected to the 7-Eleven, according to Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Bob Camp.<\/p>\n

Crews soon discovered fire and smoke in the attic.<\/p>\n

Workers had already evacuated before firefighters arrived.<\/p>\n

Firefighters contained the blaze to a vacant barber shop, preventing it from spreading to the 7-Eleven and other neighboring businesses despite winds, Camp said.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
