TAMPA BAY, Fla. \u2013 Saturday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> faced the visiting Anaheim Ducks<\/a>, in their only visit to the Benchmark International Arena during the regular season. The Lightning came away with a 4-3 victory, for its first win on home ice this season. It was also a night of milestones, with Nikita Kucherov achieving his 1,000th career point in the NHL with a primary assist on Jake Guentzel\u2018s second goal of the night. Victor Hedman reached 800 career points, and Brandon Hagel reached 300 career points.<\/p>\n

Jake Guentzel scored the lone goal of the first period for Tampa. Anaheim\u2019s Jacob Truba scored at 4:42 of the second period to even things up. Guentzel scored his second goal at 12:19, and Anthony Cirelli gave Tampa a 3-1 lead to end the second period. Down by two heading into the third period, the Ducks were able to even things up on goals from Ryan Poehling at 7:11 and Troy Terry at 8:09. Cirelli\u2019s second goal of the game came on the power play at 16:45 and would be the game-winner for the Lightning. The two teams will next face each other for a New Year\u2019s Eve matchup at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Tampa will next face the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday afternoon, at 5 pm.<\/p>\n
