A 63-unit luxury apartment complex under construction in north Fresno \u2014 between two of the area\u2019s main retail attractions \u2014 could be completed and ready for renters in a few months.<\/p>\n

The Hubert at Audubon Court<\/a> apartments, going up just east of the intersection of Palm and Nees intersection, will bring \u201ca little more of an L.A.-type feel\u201d to the area, said Blake Hoffman, CEO of Fresno Supreme Inc., which is developing the complex. Nearby on Nees Avenue is River Park and also the upscale Park Place shopping center.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe goal was to create a little more urban feel for Fresno,\u201d Hoffman said. \u201cYou know, something that\u2019s walkable and you can go to the shopping centers nearby.\u201d<\/p>\n

The apartments are also designed to be larger-than-normal units, Hoffman said. Though rents are not yet set, the units will be priced at \u201cthe luxury, high-end of market rate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoffman declined to say how much money was invested in building The Hubert.<\/p>\n

The new complex, named after Hoffman\u2019s father, is currently planned for completion by late August with move-ins beginning in September, Hoffman said.<\/p>\n

The Hubert project will include two buildings \u2014 a larger one with 51 units and a smaller one, which is already complete, with 12 units.<\/p>\n

There will be underground parking with elevators leading to the units above, \u201cwhich is unique, as far as I know, in Fresno,\u201d said Hoffman. There will be a coffee bar area, a fitness center and a \u201cpool and cabana barbecue area\u201d with a jacuzzi spa, Hoffman added.<\/p>\n

Though Hoffman said The Hubert will be a \u201ckind of a standalone\u201d complex, he added that it will be connected to adjacent the Audubon Court apartment complex, which are also owned by Fresno Supreme Inc. Residents of The Hubert will have access to the Audubon Court amenities, including the tennis court and clubroom.<\/p>\n

There are several floor plans, but the one-bedroom units alone range in size from 950 to 1,000 square feet, he said. The two-bedroom units start at 1,265 square feet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re pretty spacious and the ceilings are very high,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to create a pretty luxurious feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hoffman said pricing has not yet been settled, but he anticipated the one-bedroom units will start in the $2,300 range and the two-bedroom units will start in the $2,600 range.<\/p>\n
