BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) \u2014 A crew with Dirt Worx Construction was seen removing a Cesar Chavez mural in downtown Bakersfield Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Photos show a crew member standing on a lift removing part of the mural that was placed on the side of a business on M Street near 18th Street.<\/p>\n

The mural was found defaced Thursday<\/a> after a surge of allegations against the late labor rights leader surfaced in March.<\/p>\n

Chavez is accused of sexually assaulting and abusing two young girls and the co-founder of the United Farm Workers, Dolores Huerta<\/a>.<\/p>\n
