Skyline<\/a> got themselves on the board against Oakland<\/a> on Wednesday, but Oakland never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Wildcats. That’s the second time they’ve managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 on Monday.<\/p>\n

Arthur Arestides<\/a> made a splash no matter where he played. He didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn’t given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter’s box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, Skyline got a massive performance out of Quincy Ray-Madway<\/a>, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Ray-Madway a new career-high. Errol Chinn<\/a> also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.<\/p>\n

Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakland only posted an OBP of .100.<\/p>\n

Skyline is on a roll lately: they’ve won three of their last four contests. That’s provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oakland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.<\/p>\n

Skyline and Oakland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Titans see the field they’ll take on Salesian College Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Oakland, their break will end when they face Castlemont at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.<\/p>\n
