Firestone plans to move the Trumer Pils brewing operations to Paso Robles. The Berkeley brewery, owned by the Gambrinus Co., first opened in Berkeley in 2004, making Trumer Pils for U.S. fans of the Austrian-based beer. In 2023, a large taproom opened to the general public (a smaller taproom that only served the signature pilsner was accessible to tour guests previously). Firestone acquired the rights to brew Trumer Pils in the United States, but Gambrinus Co. still owns the Berkeley brewery and taproom and decided to close the facility. The last day will be May 29. Trumer Taproom, 1404 Fourth St., Berkeley.

“*” indicates required fields

Momo Chang is a freelance journalist who writes about food, culture, and social issues.
