CASTRO \u2014\u00a0Ka Kai<\/a> is a new Northern Thai restaurant that opened on Thursday, March 19, Hoodline<\/a> reports. It comes from three alum of the restaurant group behind Farmhouse Kitchen<\/a>, and co-owner Tar Watcharin states the menu is \u201ca comination of authentic northern Thai flavors mixed with American style.\u201d 4133 18th Street, San Francisco<\/p>\n

OAKLAND \u2014 It\u2019s bread galore at the new Studio Estepan<\/a>, a bakery from Estevan Silva, a former baker from Michelin-starred Quince<\/a>, East Bay Nosh<\/a> reports. Silva\u2019s business joins the O2 Artisans Aggregate space alongside Soba Ichi and Grand Opening Bakery<\/a>. Expect items like blue corn conchas, demi baguettes, and shokupan, per the news outlet. 2311 Magnolia Street, Oakland<\/p>\n

OAKLAND \u2014 East Bay Nosh<\/a> also caught the opening of Tita Becca\u2019s<\/a>, a Filipino restaurant that opened in downtown Oakland. Expect classics like pancit, lechon, lumpia, and more. 400 15th Street, Oakland<\/p>\n

MENLO PARK \u2014 Marina-based Causwells<\/a> opens its second location in Menlo Park, bringing its bistro menu and inventive cocktails to the Springline development. Expect that famous burger, of course, but there are new items like the andouille sausage eggs Benedict for brunch and fried chicken with coleslaw. Along with the drinks, don\u2019t miss the restaurant\u2019s other addition to their offerings: a new martini cart. 550 Oak Grove, Menlo Park<\/p>\n

PETALUMA \u2014 Mazza Kitchen<\/a> is the catering business of chef Kristina Daya, serving Levantine food, and as of Wednesday, March 25, she\u2019s launched a grab-and-go cafe that\u2019s quickly becoming a local favorite, Sonoma Magazine<\/a> reports. Situated in an industrial park, Daya serves items like maoushe flatbreads, couscous salad with mint, and a spice-loaded Levantine roast chicken that\u2019s the star of the show. 1000 Clegg Court, Petaluma<\/p>\n
