SAN FRANCISCO \u2013 “It’s a great day to be a Seawolf,” said assistant track and field coach Chas Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n The University of Alaska Anchorage track and field teams posted 12 top-10 performances at a trio of meets in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n Ty Elliott<\/a> ran 14:08.40 in the 5,000, the fifth-fastest time in school history, and John Peckham<\/a> ran 8:57.34 in the steeplechase, the fifth-fastest mark all-time.<\/p>\n Vivien Liessfeld<\/a> gave the school record in the long jump on her way to a score of 4,946, the third-best total in school history. She jumped 5.89\/19-4 in the long, only 1.25 inches shy of the best mark in program history. Liessfeld ran 14.91 in the 100 hurdles (854 points) and 25.63 in the 200 (830 points).<\/p>\n Sarah Dittman<\/a> scored 4,345 points in the heptathlon, ninth-best in program history. She scored 726 points in the 200 with a time of 26.83.<\/p>\n The Seawolves ran a pair of top-10 times in the 1,500. Charlie Hulbert<\/a> ran 3:47.77 in the men’s race, the fourth-fastest time in school history. Ryann Smith<\/a> ran 4:31.76 in the women’s race, the 10th-best mark in school history.<\/p>\n Tobin Schmidtke<\/a> scored 6,428 in the decathlon, the fourth-highest score in school history. He scored 750 points in the long jump (6.73\/22-1), 734 in the 400 (51.79), 727 in the 110 hurdles (16.05) and 702 points in the pole vault (4.30\/14-1.25). His pole vault mark ranks fourth all-time at UAA.<\/p>\n Anders Larsen<\/a> set three top-10 marks, clearing 1.83\/6-0 in the high jump (seventh), 49.36\/161-11 in the javelin (eighth) and 12.21\/40-0.75 in the shot put (10th).<\/p>\n In the 1,500, Ethan Ackroyd<\/a> ran 3:49.13, Stephen Zukowski<\/a> 3:57.39 and Tony Ruiz 3:57.85.<\/p>\n Henry O’Neal<\/a> ran 9:43.85 in the men’s steeplechase, and Lilli Lindner<\/a> ran 11:38.03 in the women’s.<\/p>\n Matt Rongitsch<\/a> ran 15:08.45 in the 5,000, and Daisy Macias<\/a> scored 3,342 in the heptathlon.<\/p>\n The Seawolves track & field teams will compete again Saturday in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
