Authorities are seeking the public\u2019s assistance in identifying a man found deceased in San Jose more than thirty-five years ago.<\/p>\n
The man was found on Aug. 8, 1989 at 150 Bellevue Avenue behind a corrugated metal building. He was in a \u201cmoderate state of decomposition\u201d at the time, according to a news release from the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.<\/p>\n
It is believed that the man was likely unhoused, but authorities noted that the investigators at the time did not confirm that.<\/p>\n
He was a white man, about 5\u20196\u2033 in height and older in age, authorities said. He weighed 112 pounds, had long gray hair, a gray beard and a two-inch mustache. He also had no teeth.<\/p>\n
Authorities also found evidence that he had previously undergone a craniotomy resulting in a two-inch scar on his left temporal region. He had healed fractures on his fifth and sixth ribs, and a one-inch, white\u00a0cyst on his neck\u2019s right side.<\/p>\n
Authorities do not know the man\u2019s eye color and noted that he did not have any tattoos.<\/p>\n
When he was found, the man was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, a brown plaid shirt and white socks, authorities added. He had several possessions with him as well, including a pair of jeans, a pair of dark-colored pants, a light blue quilted coat, a blue quilted jacket, brown shoes with laces and a cap reading \u201cReno.\u201d<\/p>\n
