(KFSN) &#8212; A woman is dead after being pulled from a car submerged in a canal in central Fresno.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police were called out to a crash in the area of McKinley Avenue and Fresno Street just before 2 am Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">They found one unoccupied car in the middle of McKinley, and another vehicle in the canal on the south side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Fresno Fire Department&#8217;s rescue team was able to rescue one woman from the vehicle in the canal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">She was rushed to the hospital, where she died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers are still searching for the driver of the other vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">No information on what led up to the crash has been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">McKinley Avenue from Fresno Street to Highway 41 will be closed as the investigation continues.
