Korn bassist Fieldy has quietly stepped back into the spotlight, making a rare live appearance in Anaheim last Friday night.<\/p>\n

While there\u2019s still no sign of a full return to Korn, the bassist<\/a> dusted off that unmistakable low end groove for a surprise set that hit straight into nu-metal\u2019s bloodstream (via Metal Sucks<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The moment went down at the House of Blues Anaheim, where local act Breaking In A Sequence pulled off a curveball for fans packed shoulder to shoulder near the stage, mid-set, Fieldy emerged and locked in like he\u2019d never left, slipping back into the rhythm with ease.<\/p>\n

Fieldy didn\u2019t hold back on the song choices either. The set leaned heavily into Korn<\/a>\u2019s early DNA, with \u2018Clown\u2019 from their 1994 self-titled debut and \u2018Got The Life\u2019 from 1998\u2019s Follow The Leader both making the cut.<\/p>\n

The band also pivoted into \u2018Ground\u2019 by (hed)p.e., pulling in former guitarist Wes Geer to complete the throwback moment, it wasn\u2019t polished nostalgia. It felt loose, loud, and a little unpredictable, exactly how this era of heavy music was built.<\/p>\n

Still no sign of a Korn return<\/p>\n

Fieldy has been absent from Korn<\/a> since 2021, and by most accounts, communication between him and the band had already gone quiet years earlier, this latest appearance doesn\u2019t suggest a reunion is on the cards, but it does confirm something fans have been wondering for a while. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s still out there, still playing, and still capable of snapping back into that signature groove without missing a step. There\u2019s something oddly fitting about this happening in a smaller venue, away from the arena lights. There was no big announcement or PR spin, just a bassist walking onstage and letting the music do the talking.<\/p>\n

Footage of the performance is circulating online (above), giving fans a glimpse of a player who hasn\u2019t entirely closed the door on live shows, whether it leads anywhere bigger is still up in the air, but for now, this was enough to stir the waters.<\/p>\n
