SENATOR SABRINA CERVANTES LEGAL TEAM RELEASED THIS POLICE VIDEO OF LAST MAY\u2019S CRASH AT 14TH AND F STREET. SHE WAS IN THE BLACK CAR THAT WAS NOT AT FAULT. THE SENATOR FROM RIVERSIDE COUNTY WENT TO THE HOSPITAL, WHERE POLICE TOLD THE MEDIA SHE SHOWED SIGNS OF BEING IMPAIRED, INCLUDING SLURRED SPEECH. SHE SAYS SHE AGREED TO A BLOOD TEST, BUT THE LAWSUIT CLAIMS POLICE MADE FALSE STATEMENTS TO A JUDGE TO GET A WARRANT FOR A BLOOD DRAW, WHICH SHOWED SHE WAS SOBER. THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY NEVER CHARGED HER, HER LAWSUIT SAYS. The lawsuit claims police made false statements to a judge to obtain a warrant for a blood draw, which showed she was sober. The district attorney never charged her.
