A new, iconic destination on San Diego’s waterfront, honoring the Navy Seals is under consideration.<\/p>\n
Developers are proposing a four story 85-thousand square foot building at the noethern edge of Lane Field Park. The museum would feature stories about the history and heritage of the seal teams and Naval Special Warfare reports the U\/T.<\/p>\n
The Board of Port Commissioners will meet later this month to decide whether to move forward with plans for the $260 million dollar project, which is not directly affiliated with the Navy, and would be privately financed.<\/p>\n
If all goes as planned, developers would start construction in early 2029, with the museum opening in 2031.
