A stolen vehicle pursuit that led to a foot chase through a Novato park ended in an arrest over the weekend, while three suspects remain at large, police said.<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, officers responded to a reported vehicle theft in progress on Arthur Street, where a white sedan fled the scene upon their arrival, striking a patrol vehicle as it left the area. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver sped away into oncoming traffic, the Novato Police Department said on social media on Monday.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was later found unoccupied on Pioneer Court after colliding with a parked car. Discarded burglary tools near the scene led investigators toward Pioneer Park, indicating the suspects had fled on foot, according to police.<\/p>\n

Novato police officers, assisted by the Marin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, established a perimeter and deployed a drone during the search.<\/p>\n

Eric Ramirez, a 20-year-old Oakland man, was taken into custody. Three more suspects remain outstanding.<\/p>\n

The recovered vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Oakland, according to police.<\/p>\n

Ramirez was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of auto theft, reckless driving, evading police, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit a crime.<\/p>\n
