Vacation, anyone?<\/p>\n

The adults-only cruise line Virgin Voyages<\/a> has launched a fresh lineup of West Coast cruises, now sailing from the Port of Los Angeles for the first time.<\/p>\n

Virgin Voyages said Monday that its newest ship, \u201cBrilliant Lady,\u201d will be homeported in LA, sailing from the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal. The ship will offer itineraries ranging from five to 17 days.<\/p>\n

Brilliant Lady<\/a> is on her maiden call.<\/p>\n

She began her inaugural tour in September 2025 from New York and will launch for the first time from LA on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

According to the company, the 909-foot-long, 125-foot-wide ship was specifically designed to pass the Panama Canal. With 1,408 cabins and more than 20 eateries, the 110,000-ton vessel can serve up to 2,770 passengers.<\/p>\n

Like all Virgin Voyages, the cruise ship has \u201cno children and no buffets\u201d on board.<\/p>\n

Instead, the adults-only experience focuses on all-inclusive dining, live entertainment, music under the stars, and \u201cdetox and retox moments\u201d across fitness spaces.<\/p>\n

\u201cCreated specifically with the West Coast in mind,\u00a0Brilliant Lady\u00a0also introduces new wellness programming designed around movement and recovery, from morning raves to Vibe Rides cycle classes,\u201d a press release noted. \u201cThe ship also features unique offerings such as dedicated solo cabins for passengers traveling alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka called Virgin Voyages a \u201cfresh, contemporary cruise\u201d for Los Angeles \u2014 and the agency knows its cruises.<\/p>\n

The Port had a record cruise year in 2025 with 241 calls carrying a combined 1.6 million passengers. According to the Port, the season generated an estimated $300 million for the local economy.<\/p>\n

Travel is cruising along in Long Beach, too.<\/p>\n

Last month, Carnival Cruise Line launched its 1-hour \u201cExpress Dining\u201d program<\/a> on 15 ships, including three ships that sail from Long Beach.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Vacation, anyone?
