THE WEST SACRAMENTO AREA FLOOD CONTROL AGENCY AND THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FINISHED A STRETCH OF LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS AS PART OF A LARGER PROJECT TO PROTECT WEST SACRAMENTO FROM FLOODING. FLOOD PROTECTION IS SOMETHING THAT I\u2019VE DEVOTED MY LIFE TO, IN A SENSE, BECAUSE IT\u2019S SOMETHING THAT IS SO CRITICAL FOR THE ENTIRE REGION. IT\u2019S JUST NOT ONE AREA. IT\u2019S NOT ONE PLACE, BUT ALL THE WAY DOWN. IT\u2019S SO IMPORTANT BECAUSE WHAT WE\u2019VE ALL LEARNED IS THIS IS A SYSTEM THAT HAS TO WORK ALL TOGETHER.
